Professional Services

There are three main areas is which we offer security training to professionals. These are in the following areas (by clicking on the links below you will be taken to a brief description concerning them. You can also contact us regarding your requirements by clicking here):

Private Security Training in Boston

Security training is an essential component for private security companies, serving as the foundation for preparing personnel to effectively handle the diverse challenges they encounter in their roles; especially when such personnel are customer/client facing, spending much of their time interacting and dealing with the public. Learning how to communicate effectively, whilst setting and maintaining boundaries is a core skill for those in such roles. Such training not only enhances the operational capabilities of a security team but also reinforces the reputation and reliability of the company offering these services. The reputation and standing of a “brand” are a key asset of a security company/organization.

De-escalation and conflict resolution techniques/methodologies are another critical area of focus in learning how to communicate effectively. Security personnel frequently encounter situations where tensions are high, such as disputes between individuals or confrontations during events. Training in this area equips security officers with strategies and tactics to defuse these situations peacefully, minimizing the risk of physical altercations (whilst maintaining their own safety). Role-playing exercises and scenario-based training are some of the ways we use to teach these techniques, allowing trainees to practice effective communication and negotiation in a controlled environment. The ability to resolve conflicts calmly and professionally not only enhances the safety of those involved but also reflects positively on the company/organization.

We are also able to instruct and teach defensive tactics that are appropriate and necessary for those working in a customer/client setting. This involves both keeping the security officer “safe” along with those they are dealing with. Whilst most incidents can be resolved and dealt with using de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques, these should always be applied in a physical manner that ensures the security officer/operative’s safety, and in a way that permits them to physically defend themselves should an incident escalate and possibly require physical intervention. Our instruction in defensive tactics also involves instruction in the legal and ethical considerations that need to be considered when use-of-force is necessary. Understanding the laws and regulations governing security roles is essential to ensure that security officers operate within the boundaries of the law. Training in this area covers topics such as the appropriate use of force, detention procedures, and respecting individuals’ rights. Ethical training reinforces the importance of integrity, accountability, and professionalism, which are critical for maintaining trust with clients and the public.

Law-Enforcement Krav Maga

Krav Maga (meaning “Contact Combat” in Hebrew”, is a martial art/fighting system developed in Israel, that has become one of the most sought-after self-defense systems for law enforcement agencies worldwide. Known for its practical, no-nonsense approach, Krav Maga emphasizes techniques that are simple, instinctive, natural efficient, and effective under the stress and duress of real-world conditions. Its adaptability to high-stress and unpredictable situations makes it an invaluable tool for officers, enabling them to protect themselves, neutralize threats, and maintain public safety. Whilst many in the US may know it as a civilian system that has a large combative/striking element, it also has “softer” solutions to violence, along with control and restraint techniques. The IDF (Israeli Defense Force) is a large organization with many different agencies with different remits, this has required Krav Maga to be adapted and developed to meet many different needs; law-enforcement is one of these.

The core philosophy of Krav Maga lies in its focus on instinctive movements and immediate responses. Unlike traditional martial arts, which often require years of training to master complex techniques, Krav Maga is designed to be learned and applied quickly. For law enforcement officers, this is crucial. In fact, our approach to training law-enforcement personnel is to strip Krav Maga techniques down to their “bare bones” so that officers with limited training time can learn them in the fastest and most efficient manner. The system teaches them to react decisively in life-threatening situations, such as ambushes, physical assaults, or attempts to disarm them. The simplicity of Krav Maga allows officers to respond without hesitation, even under extreme stress, where fine motor skills can deteriorate. Our techniques and solutions are taught in a way that they can be applied when an officer is on their own, and when as part of a team.

We provide these defensive tactics program pro-bono/free to Boston and Massachusetts based law-enforcement agencies/departments. If you are interested in any of our services either use the form at the bottom of the page to contact us or click here to access our main contact page.
