"Krav Maga - Real World Solutions To Real World Violence" (Tuttle Press - 2014), looks at a variety of premeditated assaults, such as muggings, abductions, as well as certain incidents of pre-meditated violence. Strategies and tactics, along with techniques and solutions are presented that deal with a wide variety of armed and unarmed attacks and threats (Gun and Knife). Photographs were taken in real-life locations, and shot at full speed, so the real nature of both the attack and the defense could be captured. This allows for the realism of violence to be presented, rather than staged in a studio setting.
As well as presenting physical techniques the book also explains and demonstrates the contextual aspects of violence. Violent incidents don't occur in a vacuum and take place in time and space involving some form of social interaction. These aspects of violent events are important in knowing how and when to respond. Premeditated violence also involves a process that precedes the interaction, and by understanding the steps and stages that an offender must go through in order to interact with the individual they have selected to victimize it is possible to predict, recognize and avoid predatory individuals before they can enact their plan, whether that is a street robbery or an abduction etc.
The book also presents the fundamental techniques of Krav Maga, explaining how they conform to the concepts and principles of the system. Unlike most other martial arts, Krav Maga is not defined by the techniques it teaches - these may/can evolve and change over time - but rather by a framework of ideas. It is out of these concepts that techniques and solutions to violence are created and developed. It is only by understanding these concepts that Krav Maga as a fighting system can be fully understood.

Photo sequences were taken at full speed, in full color and in the types of location, where such incidents occur, giving a real feel for what violent incidents actually look like.
Aggression and violence is most commonly the result of social interactions, that result from disputes and minor conflicts. Most of these types of incidents can be dealt with using de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques and methods. However, it is necessary to be able to distinguish when de-escalation will be effective, as well as when it won't. "Krav Maga - Tactical Survival" breaks down various potentially violent interatctions, demonstrating when such tactics can be applied and when physical solutions are necessary.
The book also looks at physical solutions to "low-level" attacks such as clothing grabs, which although from a legal perspective would be classed as "assault and battery", to those perpetrating them, they may see such attacks, as not being so serious, or as precursors to the actual "fight" etc. The book looks at some of the different ways to respond to these, along with acting pre-emptively, using strikes, throws and takedowns etc., to deal with them. The book also builds on some of the incidents presented in "Krav Maga - Real World Solutions To Real World Violence". demonstrating how assailants can add variations and progressions to certain attacks.
Click To See On Amazon"Krav Maga - Extreme Survival" (Tuttle Press - 2018), focuses on extreme situations and acts of violence, such as active shooter and killer incidents (140 incidents were studied in the writing of the book), car-jacking scenarios and home invasions etc. There is also in depth material on the predatory individuals who engage in such activities, along with ways to predict and identify them before they engage in these acts of violence. Photos, were shot in full color and at full speed in the locations where such events occur e.g. schools, restaurants, public spaces etc.
Whilst such incidents are not as common as street robberies or social violence, carjackings, home invasions and active shooter events tend to be more serious incidents, with high and extreme consequences and outcomes, including the risk of death. So although less likely understanding how to act and respond to these types of events is extremely important. The solutions demonstrated in this book are ones which have been tested and proved effective in real-life situations e.g., the group active shooter solutions and techniques were developed in Israel to deal with the terrorist threat, and were proved so effective that terrorist groups were forced to change their tactics, and abandon active shooter incidents.
Often when security increases in one area, an inevitable consequence is that offending changes and another type of offense becomes more common. This displacement can be seen as home and car security has increased e.g., with the advent of central locking, car alarms etc., cars are now much harder to break into and/or steal than they were several years ago etc. This has meant that an "easier" way of stealing a vehicle is whilst the driver is in it. The same is true with home security e.g., it is easier to get a homeowner to open a door, and direct an offender to where the valuable items are, than break in, having to bypass an alarm system, find the expensive goods, before anyone is alerted etc. This book looks at how to deal with these types of threats and attacks.
