If you are looking to get a better understanding of the Krav Maga Yashir system, and the concepts/principles upon which it is based, we have a short online course that you can work through in your own time. The program is divided into four modules/weeks, over which you can learn some of the different aspects of the system’s approach to self-defense and fighting. Using a mixed media approach including photos, videos and text, the course takes the viewer through the fundamental techniques of the system, including how to punch and block, and deal with common threats and attacks; unarmed and armed. It also looks at certain situations on the ground, and how to fight and survive when in this dimension of the conflict.
This short course also looks at the contextual aspects of violence, demonstrating how there cannot be a one size fits all approach to dealing with aggressive and potentially violent individuals. The course/program looks at when and how to de-escalate certain situations, and where/when de-escalation and conflict resolution will not be effective – and may in fact escalate an incident that could otherwise have been dealt with using a non-physical solution.
At the end of the course there is a short quiz/test, which when passed will result in an online certificate noting success and completion of the course.
